Autoimmunity and Rheumatology Centre (ARC)

The Autoimmunity & Rheumatology Centre (ARC), inaugurated in 2014 and anchored by our Department, is the first such centre in the region to provide a one-stop service dedicated to complex autoimmune and rheumatological disorders. The ARC leverages on the hospital’s strength in having expertise in most if not all adult medical and surgical specialties, as patients with complex rheumatologic conditions require multi-disciplinary care.

As part of the one-stop service, the ARC will also provide selected physiotherapy and occupational therapy services as well as drug management and patient education through on site and virtual monitoring clinics led by Advanced Practice Nurses and Pharmacists. This will further facilitate the development of team-based care by Rheumatologists, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals.
