Medical Officer Posting Exercise (MOPEX) with SGH Radiology

Synonym(s):

Radiology is constantly pushing the boundaries of modern medicine—reshaping diagnosis and image-guided interventions. In recent years, we have also been at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) clinical decision support tools into our daily workflow.

Radiologists are traditionally referred to as the doctor’s doctor—providing critical insights beyond history taking and clinical examination, in order to guide diagnosis and management. Though the radiologist does not often stand in the spotlight of direct patient contact, our impact on patient care is tremendous and ever-growing.

If you are curious about the inner workings of radiology, have a penchant for clinical detective work, or want to perform and assist in minimally invasive imaging-guided procedures, we invite you to explore a posting with us at SGH Division of Radiological Sciences.

You’ll have the opportunity to experience radiology with our subspecialty departments:

  • Department of Breast Imaging & Intervention (DBII)
  • Department of Cardiothoracic & Abdominal Radiology (DCAR)
  • Department of Musculoskeletal Radiology (DMR)
  • Department of Neuroradiology (NRD)
  • Department of Vascular & Interventional Radiology (DVIR)

During your posting, you’ll be exposed to a full suite of imaging modalities:

  • Radiography & Fluoroscopy (X-rays)
  • Ultrasound
  • Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

With a rich tradition of clinical excellence and strong focus on teaching, SGH Radiology makes for an ideal environment for both new and experienced MOs hoping to work in this exciting field. If you think SGH Radiology may be a good fit for you, we invite you to submit your CV along with a short write-up (300 words or less) on why you're interested in a posting with us. Click here to submit your CV: MOPEX Selection

Submission Deadline

Submission closes 1 month (to the day) before each MOHH MOPEX ranking exercise closes (e.g. submission closes on 10 Oct if the MOPEX ranking exercise closes on 10 Nov). Due to the tight MOPEX timeline, we will not be able to process late submissions.

After your submission

Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview. Successful candidates will be notified before the closing of the MOPEX ranking exercise.
