CHROMOSOME MICROARRAY ANALYSIS (CMA) TEST: CMA-SOLID TUMOURS

CMA-Solid Tumours: 10 consecutive, unstained 5μm FFPE tumour sections, accompanied by a copy of H&E section with the tumour region marked out.

CMA-Solid Tumours is a standalone CMA test for solid tumours using FFPE sections, which detects chromosomal gains/losses at an overall average resolution of 9Mb.

​Keep at room temperature and send to the lab on the sampling date, or keep at 4°C and send to the lab on the next day.

CMA-Solid Tumours is carried out using the Agilent SurePrint G3 Cancer CGH+SNP (AMADID 030587) 4x180K slide. The referred sample and reference Agilent Euro Male/Female sample are processed with the Agilent ULS  Labeling kit.

Data are analyzed with the Agilent Cytogenomics software version 5.0.2.5 using the default Mosaic Analysis Method.

​CMA test results will be reported as normal, abnormal or unavailable (insufficient DNA obtained from samples).

Abnormal CMA results are reported in accordance to the International System for Human Cytogenomic Nomenclature (ISCN, 2024). In addition, reports will include interpretation, comments and references.
