Remarks	Instructions Before Sampling: Patient is advised to refrain from oral ingestion of fruit juices and tea for one day before blood collection. Oral citrate enhances the gastrointestinal aluminium absorption which results in increased levels in blood. Patient should avoid taking either gadolinium or iodine containing contrast media for at least 4 days as they can interfere with trace metal tests.
