Can Rehabilitation Increase Strength and Motor Recovery Following SCI?

Neurologically-induced weakness is common following incomplete spinal cord injuries (SCI). Numerous interventions are administered by therapists in an effort to decrease this weakness and promote motor recovery. In this presentation I will discuss the results of our own recent clinical trials and systematic reviews on this topic in the light of the work of others, and explain how our findings challenge some long held assumptions.
