SGH is a leading teaching hospital affiliated with esteemed medical schools (National University of Singapore-Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Duke-NUS Medical School, and Lee Kong Chian Medical School), offering comprehensive clinical training programs for both local and international medical students. Training Programmes

SGH offers a range of training programs that cater to various stages of medical education. These include:

Pre-clinical Clinical Skill Foundational Program
This program introduces students to the essential clinical skills needed for their future careers.

Early Clinical Training
Students begin to apply their foundational knowledge in real clinical settings.

Advanced Training (SIP or SAP Attachments)
Advanced postings prepare students for their roles as house officers, providing them with in-depth experience in various medical specialties and sub-specialties.

Clinical Postings
During their clinical postings, medical students are attached to different departments, specialties, and sub-specialties as part of their curriculum. SGH, with its comprehensive range of medical specialties and a broad patient base, offers a dynamic and enriching learning environment. Leadership and Support
The clinical training programs at SGH are led by the SGH Campus Education Director, who works closely with the Clinical Educator Lead (Medical). Together, they champion and manage the medical clinical teaching programs, assess trainee progress, and uphold the standards of this vital activity in the hospital. The training is further supported by university-appointed faculty members who ensure that students receive high-quality education and mentorship.
