Before Video Consultation

For all medical emergencies or if you feel unwell, do not proceed for Video Consultation. Please proceed to your nearest Polyclinic, General Practitioner (GP) Clinic or Emergency Department. 

 

Prepare for VC

What are the risks and limitations of a VC?

  • Your clinical care team will not be able to examine you physically or take your vital signs
  • Your condition will be assessed and managed based on information you provide during the consult
  • If you feel that VC is inadequate to address your medical condition, you should terminate the VC at any time, and arrange for an in-person clinic visit
  • Minors (i.e. <16 years old) or those without agency (e.g. dementia patients) must be accompanied by parent, guardians or next-of-kins

Confidentiality of Personal Data

Personal Data collected, used, or disclosed for this VC will be kept confidential. There will be no screenshots, photographs, audio, and video recordings (“Recordings”) done by both Hospital and patient during the VC with any means without prior agreement.

Charges

  • The charge for video consult is 20%* less than your usual consultation fee . Refer to the charges on our outpatient consultation.
  • Video consult fee is MediSave Chronic Disease Management Program (CDMP) claimable (if suitable).

*Only applicable for follow-up doctors’ consult fee

Before Video Consult Day

1. Make sure you have downloaded Zoom

 

2. Ensure you have received the Zoom meeting links. It will be sent to you via SMS

  • 1 day before VC and
  • at least 30 minutes before your VC

3. Please prepare a computer with camera, or mobile phone for VC
