Department of Neuroradiology

The Department of Neuroradiology, encompassing both diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology, provides subspecialised radiology services to support the care for our patients at Singapore General Hospital. SGH is a tertiary referral centre that is consistently ranked amongst the top hospitals in the world and serves as the principal teaching hospital for Duke-NUS Medical School. 

Our department serves patients on the SGH Campus, including SGH, NNI, SNEC, and NCCS; patients from regional hospitals in Singhealth; as well as referrals from other external public and private institutions. We are one of the three comprehensive stroke centres in Singapore.

We deliver timely, high quality and holistic diagnostic and interventional services in brain, spine and head and neck radiology. Our department plays a pivotal role in enhancing patient outcomes through multidisciplinary clinical care, innovation, education, research, and new models of care.

On average, our department performs close to 50,000 CT and MR examinations per year, ranging from routine brain and spine MRI and CTs to highly specialised techniques such as MRI Perfusion, MR Spectroscopy, MR Tractography, MRI endolymphatic hydrops and dual energy CT imaging. Our services cover both the breadth and depth needed to support the clinical needs of our patients in Singapore’s largest health cluster.
