Skin Donation in Singapore: How You Can Help

Donated skin has the power to transform lives. By choosing to become a skin donor, you can help burn survivors in their recovery journey.

Who Can Become a Skin Donor?

If you are 18 years old and above, you can make this decision that could give someone a second chance at life. The identities of both recipient and donor will not be revealed to either party or their families.

We encourage you to have an open conversation with your family and share your wishes, whether you choose to be a skin donor or not. This helps your family understand your wishes and supports them during a difficult time.

Are You Ready to Become a Donor?

There are two ways to pledge as a donor under the Medical (Therapy, Education and Research) Act:

1.    Online pledge
You can visit the LiveOn website and register through the Organ Donor Registry using your SingPass.

2.    Manual pledge
Download and complete the Organ Donation Pledge Form (English [PDF, 140 KB]) in the presence of a witness and mail it to the National Organ Transplant Unit (NOTU). The form comes with NOTU's address and prepaid postage, so you only need to fill it in and post it.

Once your pledge is processed, you will be issued an Organ Donor Card by the Ministry of Health. You are encouraged to inform your family of your decision, so that your wishes are known.
