Our department is actively involved in clinical research and trials. We have studies in these areas:

Asthma - Inflammatory phenotypes in severe asthma, biologics for allergic asthma
COPD - Phenotypes in COPD, integrated care for COPD
Clinical pulmonology - Interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, lung cancer, pulmonary tuberculosis, lung function testing
Critical care medicine - Pneumonia in immunocompromised hosts, non-invasive ventilation, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation
Sleep medicine - Overnight polysomnography and chronic home ventilation, compliance to long term CPAP and CPACP interface

Local & International Fellowship Programs

Since 25 April 2023, we have been approved by Ministry of Health (MOH), Singapore to offer Local Fellowship Training for Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) award recipients in:

Interventional Pulmonology
Severe Asthma
Advanced Sleep Medicine & Non-invasive Ventilation

For prospective international fellows, we also offer fellowships to be trained in general respiratory medicine, airway diseases (asthma, bronchiectasis, COPD), critical care medicine, pleural diseases, and interventional pulmonology.
