Specimen Required	This test is part of a Lipid Panel profile consisting of Total Cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol and Triglycerides tests.
Method	This is a calculated parameter using the Friedewald equation from Total Cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol, Triglyceride concentrations. Friedewald equation: [LDL Cholesterol] = [Total Cholesterol] - [HDL Cholesterol] - ([Triglycerides] / 2.2]) where all concentrations are given in mmol/L. Note: LDL Cholesterol Calculated is invalid when Triglycerides concentration is > 4.5 mmol/L.
