The SGH Department of Cardiothoracic and Abdominal Radiology provides comprehensive imaging of the thorax, abdomen and pelvis. Our team works in close collaboration with clinical specialists across disciplines to support high-quality clinical care for our patients. We deliver round-the-clock imaging services for emergency acute care, advanced, subspecialist support for in- and outpatients throughout SGH, as well as timely and holistic support for outpatient services in the polyclinic and community. We are committed to supporting every patient’s journey with precision imaging and a strong focus on improving outcomes.

Our team provides:

Cardiothoracic imaging services, including:

• Routine CT thorax
• CT coronary angiogram
• Cardiac CT for structural heart disease and pre-procedural planning 
• Cardiac MRI

CT imaging of the abdomen and pelvis, including:

• Routine CT abdomen and pelvis 
• Multiphasic imaging of pancreatic, hepatic and renal neoplasms
• Dual-energy CT
• CT enterography and urography

MRI of the abdomen and pelvis, including:

• Routine MR cholangiopancreatography, MRI liver, MRI pelvis 
• MR enterography, MR urography, MR elastography, pelvic floor MRI, multiparametric MRI prostate and MRI rectum

Ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis, including:

• General abdominal ultrasound 
• General gynecological ultrasound
• Liver imaging and elastography
• Transplant imaging
• Bowel ultrasound

Fluoroscopic imaging procedures, including:

• Barium swallow, meal and follow-through
• Barium enema
• Water soluble contrast studies  

As an integral component of personalised comprehensive care, our doctors also actively participate in numerous multidisciplinary conferences across campus to aid clinicians in patient management and decision-making.
