For 205 years and counting, Singapore General Hospital (SGH) stands at the frontline of healthcare in Singapore, caring for generations of patients and families.  Every day, we witness firsthand the challenges many patients face as they cope with financial hardship, out-of-pocket medical expenses, and sometimes multiple health conditions. 

We hope you will lend help to our patients and families in our first-ever SGH205 Dance for Patients fundraising campaign from 18 August to 5 October 2026 campaign.

When chronic illness forced 57-year-old Mr Lim to leave the workforce, life became increasingly challenging for him and his family. Medical bills accumulated, and despite available subsidies, the cost of ongoing treatment continued to weigh heavily on their household finances.

Thanks to the generosity of donors supporting the SGH Needy Patients Fund, Mr Lim could continue receiving the treatment he needed without having to sacrifice his family's basic daily necessities. The support not only provided financial relief but also renewed hope and peace of mind during a challenging period in their lives.
