As one of Singapore’s largest and most established teaching hospitals, SGH has played a vital role in training doctors since its early beginnings, with a rich heritage of medical education that continues to grow stronger each year. Clinical education is a cornerstone of medical training at SGH, and we are committed to providing medical students with comprehensive, innovative, and high-quality learning experiences across a broad spectrum of specialties.

Our faculty comprises a group of locally and internationally renowned clinical educators who are innately passionate about teaching. Their vast clinical and instructional experiences which are ever advancing because of our healthy faculty development system and support where students will be able to benefit from excellent clinical exposure, strong mentorship, and coordinated educational support.

We tailor training to different stages of medical education, nurturing each student’s potential with a focus on clinical competency, professionalism, self‑directed learning, ethics, and compassion. Together with our Clinical Education Lead (Medical) and passionate healthcare educators, we strive to make every medical student’s journey at SGH meaningful, inspiring, and transformative—preparing future doctors to make a lasting difference in patient care.
