Profile

Dr Png Meng Ai is a specialist accredited diagnostic radiologist practicing at the Diagnostic Radiology department at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) since 1987.  She is concurrently Clinical Asst. Prof. Duke-NUS GMS.  She graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1984 and obtained her post-graduate degree in Radiology in 1991. She was admitted to the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (London, UK) the same year.  She completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre at Oxford, United Kingdom in 1993. She is currently Senior Consultant Radiologist at Singapore General Hospital with a special interest in Musculoskeletal Radiology, Ultrasound and Radiology IT solutions. 

From 1995-2002, she was chief of Musculoskeletal section at SGH.  She was previously Honorary Consultant to Sports Medicine and Research Centre at Singapore Sports Council, Visiting Consultant at Changi General Hospital and Deputy Head, Diagnostic Radiology SGH.  She has been actively involved in information technology projects and implementations at SGH and Singhealth since 1993 and is currently Director, Singhealth RISPACS workgroup. Previously senior lecturer at NTU (2001-2008) and tutor cum lecturer in the National radiology training program since 2000 and also lecturer in the Duke-NUS medical student training program. She is author and co-author of scientific publications mainly in topics with a musculoskeletal and computing-information systems focus.
