Profile

Professor Fong Kok Yong is the Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer (Medical and Clinical Services), SingHealth. He is the Seah Cheng Siang Professor in Medicine, SingHealth Duke-NUS Medicine Academic Clinical Programme and Senior Consultant, Department of Rheumatology and Immunology at SGH. As the former Chairman of the Medical Board, SGH, he is responsible for setting standards and maintaining clinical quality as part of good clinical governance. 

Prof Fong is also the Chairman of the Residency Advisory Committee for Rheumatology (Ministry of Health) and Member of the Residency Advisory Committee for Internal Medicine (Ministry of Health) since 2012. He is also the Associate Editor for APLAR Journal of Rheumatology since 2006 and for Singapore Medical Journal since 2008. 
 
He is a Fellow of Academy Medicine, Singapore in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology and Royal College of Edinburgh, UK. Prof Fong has over 100 peer-reviewed publications to date. He serves as the Senior Associate Dean for the Duke-NUS Graduate School of Medicine and a faculty member of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
