Halting the Progression of Chronic Kidney Disease

Singapore is facing a rapidly aging population and increasing prevalence of chronic kidney disease. The high diabetes and hypertension burden have been driving up the number of patients with chronic kidney disease. In recent years, there have been new developments in the therapeutics for slowing down the progression of chronic kidney disease, which would improve patients' chances of avoiding reaching kidney failure. The lecture will discuss about the current therapeutics to slow down the progression of chronic kidney disease.


After the lecture, the participants will be able to gain an understanding on the:

  • Epidemiology of chronic kidney disease 
  • Treatment options to slow down the progression of chronic kidney disease
