Making a Diagnosis & Management Strategies for Alzheimer Disease

Persons living with dementia will continue to increase as Singapore grows older.  Dementia is not a normal part of the ageing process and making a diagnosis of dementia early is important for the family, caregivers and healthcare workers. Unfortunately, there is currently no confirmatory diagnostic tests for the various diseases causing dementia.


After the lecture, the participants will be able to gain an understanding on:

  • The clinical signs and symptoms of Alzheimer Disease (AD)
  • Medications for management of AD
  • Approach to management of AD
