Getting to Know Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

28 July 2021

In Singapore, the mainstream healthcare system is provided by Western modern medicine. However, it is a prevalent practice among Singaporeans to use Traditional Chinese Medicine for some illnesses. Some patients combine both western and TCM treatments in the hope for better treatment outcomes. Though healthcare professionals are well versed in Western medicine, they should have some basic understanding or appreciation of TCM knowledge so that they are able to advise their patients accordingly.

After the lecture, the participants will be able to gain an understanding on:
  • Basic knowledge of TCM
  • Giving appropriate advice on TCM use
