Cervicogenic Headache (2 May 2019)

This lecture will firstly cover how to differentiate  primary and secondary musculoskeletal headaches (e.g. tension type headache, cervicogenic headache and headache due to temporomandibular disorder) from other primary (e.g. migraine) and secondary  headaches  (e.g. headaches due to red flags). Differential diagnosis will be covered with respect to the history, investigations and physical examination. A focus will be on key physical examination tests that assist allied health professionals in identifying musculoskeletal headaches and in determining impairments associated with them. Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. Other Allied Health Professionals are also welcome.Finally evidence based management of common musculoskeletal headaches will be discussed, with a focus on targeted individualized management.
