To ensure that our patients have enough rest, visiting hours are scheduled twice daily from
12 noon to 2.00pm and
5.00pm to 8.30pm.
four one designated visitors may visit at any one time during visiting hours. We would also like to request that visitors be sensitive to the needs of other patients during visiting hours.
To keep you and your loved ones safe, only one designated visitor is allowed in the ward at any one time during our visiting hours between 12noon and 3pm, and from 5pm to 8.30pm. Each patient can have up to five (5) designated visitors from up to two (2) households for the length of their hospital stay. No change of designated visitors is allowed.

As children have a low immunity level, we discourage visitors from bringing along their babies and children to the wards, especially the High Dependency and Intensive Care areas.
If you have not informed your relatives and friends of your whereabouts in the Hospital, the Hospital's Information Counter staff will be able to assist them in locating the ward you are in.

The ICU is a restricted area due to the serious condition of patients warded there. As these patients require a lot of rest, only two visitors are allowed at any one time during visiting hours.
The AVMS helps to manage the number of visitors to the wards, allowing for a more convenient and hassle-free visit at SGH. The system also facilitates contact tracing for the safety of our patients and visitors when the need arises.
Visitors to wards and visitors accompanying patients for appointments, day procedures or surgery at Level 2 are also required to register.
