Innovating imaging techniques for detailed visualisation of the extracranial facial nerve increases the extent and confidence by which the radiologist is able to identify its branches. In turn, this has the potential to assist with the diagnosis of perineural tumour spread, surgical planning, treatment of nerve-related disorders and reconstructive surgery. This ongoing project is conducted in collaboration with SGH Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgeons.
