Lymphoedema Management

Lymphoedema (swelling) management has been used widely in Australia and North America for treating lymphodema conditions for many years. Management for lymph drainage problems started as early as 1980s by Dr. Vodder in North America. 

Physiotherapy department of Singapore General Hospital started lymphoedema management service since 1998.The department has certified Dr. Vodder lymphoedma therapists, who provide comprehensive lymphoedema management. The lymphoedema management includes manual lymph drainage (MLD), combined decongestive therapy (CDT) and prescription of compression garment depending on the severity of the condition.
