(a) Used in screening patients with ASC-US (atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance) Pap test results to determine the need for referral to colposcopy. |

Samples can be stored at 2-30°C and transported to our laboratory within 1 week after collection. |
| Method |
Multiplex real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using cobas HPV on the Roche cobas 5800/6800 systems. The test specifically identifies human papillomavirus (HPV) types HPV16 and HPV18 and concurrently detects the rest of the 12 high risk HPV types (31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66 and 68). |
