1. Label 2 microscope glass slides with patient’s NRIC and name on the frosted end of the slides with a hard lead pencil or with patient’s CPOE label. 2. Place eyelashes in between the 2 microscopic slides, in the centre. 3. Tape both short ends, top and bottom of the glass slides with scotch tape and ensure eyelashes are secured. 4. Place slides in a slide container labelled with patient’s CPOE labels. 5. Store at room temperature if unable to submit specimen to Cytology Laboratory on the same day. |
