Specimen Required	24 hr urine (no preservative). Urine preferably refrigerated during collection. Total 24-hour urine volume must be clearly indicated.

Reference Interval / Value	≥ 13 yrs : < 30 mg/day (Normal) 30 - 300 mg/day (Moderate Albuminuria) > 300 mg/day (Severe Albuminuria)
Turnaround Time	Mean = 4 hrs, Range: 3 – 5 hrs

Remarks	Instructions before sampling: Patient should be well as baseline. They should have no urinary tract infection,no acute febrile illness,no intense exercise within the previous 24 hrs and not be menstruating.
