SGH Emergency Department Relocates

Singapore, 12 January 2026 – Come 18 January 2026, Sunday at 7am, Singaporeans heading to the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) Campus for emergency care should make their way to level 3 of the new SGH Emergency/National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) building.

The new building at 1 Hospital Boulevard is located adjacent to the current emergency department at SGH Block 1. It’s important to note that patients seeking emergency care should go directly to level 3 emergency drop-off and the driving directions remain unchanged, i.e., via College Road and Hospital Crescent. For next-or-kin who drive, please proceed to park at the basement carpark, entry via Hospital Boulevard.

"We understand that relocating our emergency department may cause some initial confusion in the first few weeks. We want to assure all Singaporeans of our commitment to provide timely, quality emergency care remains unchanged. We appreciate the public's patience and understanding as our teams are working to ensure clear signage and additional assistance during this transition", said Associate Professor Kenneth Tan Boon Kiat, Head and Senior Consultant, Department of Emergency Medicine, Singapore General Hospital.
