About

Following MBBS in Singapore, trained in General Surgery in the UK. Became Fellow of the FRCS (England) and FRCS (Edinburgh).  Developed an interest in Plastic Surgery and trained in Plastic Surgery at Mt Vernon, East Grinstead and subsequently Singapore General Hospital.  Attained Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine in 1988.  Subspecialised in Craniofacial Surgery with HMDP Fellowship to the Australasian Craniofacial Unit (1990) and the USA (1995).  Was the first Chief of Plastic Surgery Service at KKH.  Participated regularly at Medical Missions overseas since 1991 and continues to actively do so.  Served as President of SAPS 1998-2000, President of the Asia-Pacific Craniofacial Association and continues to serve as President, Society for Surgery and Medicine Singapore.  Involved in education as Chairman of RAC (Plastic Surgery) and STC (1998 till present) and various committees at MOH overseeing Aesthetic Practice, Liposuction, Plastic Surgery Training and Medisave.
