Dr. Tan Yongcheng Benjamin is a Senior Consultant Pathologist with the Department of Anatomical Pathology, Division of Pathology, Singapore General Hospital.
A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore, Dr. Tan attained postgraduate specialist accreditation in Anatomical Pathology and was admitted as Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (United Kingdom) in 2014. He was also conferred the Certificate of Higher Cervical Cytology Training in the same year.
A recipient of the Health Manpower Development Plan Award (2017), Dr. Tan undertook advanced subspecialty training in Breast Pathology at two Harvard Medical School teaching hospitals (Brigham & Women's Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center), mentored by Professors Stuart Schnitt and Susan Lester.
Dr. Tan’s professional practice encompasses general anatomical pathology with clinical and research interests in breast and genitourinary pathology. He is a clinical physician faculty of the Singhealth Pathology Residency programme and lectures at Nanyang Technological University. Dr. Tan’s current positions include Director of Immunopathology, Singhealth Pathology Academic Clinical Programme, and Honorary Secretary of the Association of Pathologists, Singapore (Singapore Division of the International Academy of Pathology). He is a member of the International Society of Breast Pathologists.
