Dr Rebecca Lim was the first to graduate from the Singapore Singhealth Hand Surgery Residency Program and received the Outstanding Resident Prize for three consecutive years. She now serves as a Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery consultant at the Singapore General Hospital. She completed her Advanced Robotics/Arthroscopy Hand & Wrist fellowship at the Beijing Ji Shui Tan Hospital in 2023 and was the HKSSH Asia-Pacific Scholar and APWA Travelling Fellow in 2024. Dr Lim is one of three international recipients of the 2026 David Chuang Peripheral Nerve Fellowship, and the only one from the Asia-Pacific region. She is well published in peer reviewed journals and holds multiple grants in medical innovations research.
She received the distinguished Wong Hock Boon Society- Singapore Medical Association Charity Fund Outstanding Mentor Award in 2019 for developing medical students’ research and is now both Clinical Assistant Professor of Duke-NUS Medical School and Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Imperial College London- NTU LKC School of Medicine. In 2020, 2022 and 2025 she received the Singhealth Service with a Heart Award for her efforts in quality clinical service and the 2021 Singapore Health Quality Service Hero Award and 2023 Ministry of Health Holdings COVID-19 Resilience Medal for frontline pandemic contributions. She has a strong passion for humanitarian work and has served in numerous overseas missions since 2006.
