About Doctor

Asst Prof. Rebecca Lim was the first to graduate from the Singapore Singhealth Hand Surgery Residency Program and was awarded the Outstanding Resident prize for three consecutive years. She currently serves as a Consultant in the Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery Department at the Singapore General Hospital. Her area of special interest is in wrist disorders, and she has completed a highly competitive fellowship in Hand & Wrist Minimally Invasive Surgery at Beijing JST Hospital. She has multiple publications in peer reviewed journals with a primary interest in tendons and their biomechanical properties, 3D printing and robotics. She is active in academic teaching and was awarded the prestigious WHB- SMACF Outstanding Mentor Award in 2019. She is currently appointed as Clinical Assistant Professor of Duke-NUS Medical School, Adjunct Lecturer of Lee Kong Chian Medical School and Senior Clinical Lecturer of Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. In 2020 and 2023 she was conferred the Singhealth Service with a Heart Award to recognize her efforts in clinical service quality and in 2021 awarded the Singapore Health Quality Service Hero Award for her frontline contributions during the fight against COVID-19. She is very passionate about humanitarian work and has participated in numerous overseas missions in the ASEAN region for education and medical purposes since 2006.
