Dr Gerald Tay is a Senior Consultant at the Singhealth Duke-NUS Head and Neck Centre. He received his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2004. He received his specialist training in the Department of General Surgery at the Singapore General Hospital and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh). He joined the Singhealth-Duke NUS Head and Neck Centre in 2014 and subsequently went on to do a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery in Oregon Health & Science University in 2016.
Dr Tay is a Clinical Tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore, and Clinical Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School. He is currently serving as the Associate Programme Director for the Singhealth General Surgery Residency Programme. He also serves as the Deputy Head of the Singhealth Duke-NUS Head and Neck Centre.
His clinical interests are in the surgical management of head and neck cancers, involving the oral cavity, oropharynx, larynx, hypopharynx, paranasal sinuses, nasopharynx and neck, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, salivary gland tumours and skin cancers.
