About

Dr Ng Lee Beng underwent her medical training in Singapore and has practised in diverse Family Medicine settings from ambulatory general practice and polyclinic settings to inpatient acute hospital and community hospital arenas. She was involved in pioneering the post discharge transitional home care model of care to reduce hospital utilisation. 

She is actively involved in family medicine training on undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She was Programme Director for the College of Family Physicians Singapore’s Master of Medicine and Fellowship programmes successively between 2010 and 2018. Her areas of special interest include advocating for and training facilitators in advance care planning conversation, and improving health literacy, especially in the application of therapeutic lifestyle changes to not just prevent, but treat and reverse chronic disease, as well as for physician self-care. She has attained International Certification in Lifestyle Medicine.
