About

Dr Png Meng Ai is a Senior Consultant Radiologist at SGH and Adjunct Associate Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. She subspecialises in MSK Imaging, with a particular focus on MSK ultrasound. After attaining her FRCR (UK), she completed an advanced fellowship at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford.

A respected leader in her field, Dr Png has held several key clinical and administrative appointments. She was formerly Chief of the Musculoskeletal Radiology section and Deputy Head and Director of Clinical Services at SGH and served as Honorary Consultant to the Singapore Sports Council’s Sports Medicine and Research Centre. She was also a Visiting Consultant at Changi General Hospital.

Dr Png is a long-standing advocate for digital transformation in healthcare. From 2003 to 2024, she played a central role in major radiology informatics initiatives across SingHealth, including serving as Director of the SingHealth RIS-PACS Workgroup and was a member of its Steering Committee. Her cross-disciplinary contributions have bridged clinical practice, innovation, and enterprise IT strategy.

Dr Png has been vital in training the next generation of radiologists. She was a Visiting Senior Lecturer in NTU’s IT programme (2001–2008), a core tutor in the National Radiology Residency Programme (2000–2024), and lecturer in Duke-NUS Medical School. 

Dr Png’s research interests include musculoskeletal disorders, radiology informatics, and atypical femoral fractures. She is widely published in these areas, reflecting a career that integrates clinical excellence, education, and technological innovation.
