Q: Do I need to secure my programme admission first?

Yes, you must be successfully enrolled in your chosen programme before applying for sponsorship. Please note that programme admission and SGH sponsorship are separate application processes.

Q: When can I apply for sponsorship?

Our sponsorship applications are open throughout the year. You can apply at any time during your studies. For students in your final year of study, please apply as early as possible to ensure your sponsorship application can be processed in time.

Q: Can I apply if I have already started my programme?

Yes, SGH offers mid-term sponsorship for current students. If successful, your sponsorship will commence from your current academic year onwards.

Q: What are the eligibility criteria?

Please refer to the criteria listed on the sponsorship application page in the SGH Career Portal.

Q: What is the difference between sponsorship and scholarship?

SGH offers sponsorships, while healthcare scholarships are managed by MOH Holdings (MOHH). If you are interested in scholarships, please apply directly through MOHH.

Q: Who can be my sureties?

Anyone can be your surety if they meet these eligibility criteria:

• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident residing permanently in Singapore
• Between 21 and 65 years old
• Gainfully employed in Singapore
• Basic monthly salary of S$1,500 and above
• Not bankrupt
• Not bonded to any existing scholarship, sponsorship, bursary, or study loan agreement

Q: Can I work part-time while under sponsorship?

Part-time work requests must be submitted to sponsorship@sgh.com.sg for approval. Each request will be evaluated individually.
