Embryologists

A Clinical Embryologist is a professional in reproductive science who works within assisted reproductive technology (ART) laboratories to help individuals and couples achieve pregnancy. The key role involves isolating eggs, handling and assessing gametes (eggs and sperm), performing fertilization procedures such as IVF and ICSI, monitoring embryo development, and preparing embryos for transfer or cryopreservation. 

Embryologists work in highly controlled laboratory environment to ensure the optimal conditions for gamete and embryo health. The role also includes maintaining laboratory equipment, quality control systems, and participating in research or quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. We collaborate closely with clinicians, nurses, and laboratory staff to provide safe, effective, and evidence-based fertility treatment.

Embryologists must ensure all procedures comply with strict laboratory protocols, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. 

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Science, or related field (required).
• Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Embryology or equivalent (desirable).
• Prior laboratory or internship experience in reproductive medicine, cell culture, or biomedical research (advantageous).
