Profile

Prof Yeo completed a fellowship in Constructive Joint Surgery at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, USA and returned to practice at the Adult Reconstruction Service of the Department of Orthopedics Surgery, SGH. A/Prof Yeo is also appointed as a Clinical Lecturer by the National University of Singapore. He participates in the teaching and training of medical students undergoing surgical posting during their undergraduate training. He was appointed to be a reviewer for Singapore Medical Journal and Annals of Academy of Medicine.
 
Prof Yeo and his team had been instrumental in making SGH one of the leading centers in the Asia-Pacific region for joint replacement surgery. He is also a design consultant for Depuy CAS Preservation Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty and also appointed as clinical evaluator for PFC Sigma High Performance TKA Instrumentation and Computer Assisted TKA Software Ci Ver. 2.0.
 
His special interests are in minimally invasive joint replacement surgery and in computer-guided joint replacement surgery. He has presented and published extensively on these topics internationally. To-date, he has published 39 journal articles in international peer reviewed journal including the American Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Journal of Arthroplasty. He has been invited to conduct and lecture for many courses in minimally invasive joint replacement surgery and in computer-aided orthopedic surgery, for orthopedic surgeons internationally including live telecast of minimally invasive knee replacement surgery to Europe. Dr. Yeo performs more than 250 hip and knee replacements annually.
