Clin Asst Prof Tan Jia Wei

Dr Tan Jia Wei is Consultant Radiologist at SGH. He graduated with commendation from the University of Glasgow in 2015 and subsequently underwent specialist training in the SingHealth Diagnostic Radiology Residency Programme before acquiring FRCR and MMED (Diagnostic Radiology) in 2019. 

Dr Tan currently serves as the Deputy Director of Imaging Informatics (Epic) in the Division of Radiological Sciences and is also a member of SGH’s trauma committee. He plays a role in advancing the smooth integration of imaging systems with enterprise-wide electronic health records (EHRs). His responsibilities include coordinating with clinical, technical, and administrative teams to align imaging workflows with system-wide EHR strategies. He is particularly involved in instituting and integrating imaging-based workflows related to emergency and trauma care, with the goal of improving patient outcomes in these high-acuity settings. 

Dr Tan’s clinical interests include musculoskeletal emergency and trauma imaging. Outside of work, he enjoys running, swimming and spending time with family.
