Sports Injuries Management

Our sports physiotherapy team comprise of highly qualified specialists extensively trained both locally and overseas. We take pride in providing individualised physiotherapy management for a wide variety of sporting injuries sustained by elite athletes or weekend warrriors.

You will first undergo an interview session followed by a physical examination by our specialised physiotherapist to allow us to better understand your condition. An individualised physiotherapy management programme is then designed for you according to your injuries and the sport that you would want to return to. Electrophysical modalities such as ultrasound, and interferential therapy could be used to aid in pain relief and healing of your injury according to your needs. Neuromuscular electrical stimulation could also be used to allow better muscle activation which may be inhibited by your sport injury. Various taping examples such as KinesioTape, sports tapes are also available to help enhance sport performance and to prevent further injuries.

Our aim is to optimise your ability to return to peak performance as quickly and safely as possible. We have the technology such as the Biodex machine to provide up-to-date evidence-based strength assessment. This allows us to formulate a better strength and conditioning programme to manage your sport injuries.

Our experience and expertise include providing classes for athletes post operatively to facilitate early return to sports. The Return to Sports (RTS) class consists of agility, co-ordination, strength and endurance training to help patients increase confidence and enhance sports performance.

We also provide talks and educational programs on sports injury preventions as well as analysis on sporting techniques to prevent injuries. We were appointed to provide sports coverage for both local and international events such as the Youth Olympics 2010, Standard Chartered Marathon 2013-2015 and SEA Games 2015.
