Foot and Ankle Physiotherapy

The Physiotherapy Department provides comprehensive evidence-based assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services for all foot and ankle problems. Physiotherapy assessment includes biomechanics and gait assessment, identifying structural problems in the lower kinetic chain and how they relate to foot/ankle pathology. We have up-to-date evidence-based and surgeon directed rehabilitation programmes for various foot and ankle, surgical and non-surgical conditions. 

Our specialist physiotherapists offers a selection of treatment techniques including joint mobilisation, manipulation, soft tissue mobilisation, therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, heat treatments, sports taping, kinesio taping, education on footwear, environment, activity limitations and precautions as appropriate to ensure that the patient recovers as quickly as possible and to prevent further recurrences.
