Preparing for your Embryo Transfer (ET)

You must prepare the following if you are intending to proceed with Embryo Transfer (ET)

  • Drink plenty of water. A full bladder will allow your doctor to visualize the uterus (which is situated below your bladder) better with an external abdominal ultrasound. This will facilitate the doctor to guide the catheter into the uterus for the embryo transfer.
  • Bring a bottle of water
  • Depending on the number of embryos, additional payment will be required to freeze any extra embryos
  • No fasting or sedation is required for the procedure.
