THROUGH THE LENS OF CLINICAL PASTORAL CARE IN WHAT IT MEANS AND MAKES US HUMAN?
Clinical pastoral care provides spiritual, emotional and social support for patients and their caregivers which may encompass both religious and non-religious resources. The Clinical Pastoral Care ministry seeks to connect with the human heart and spirit in our walk with our patients and families. It seeks to spiritually uphold them through the "Ups and Downs" of poor health, assuring them they are not alone. Striving to be sensitive to the human spirit in the verbal and non-verbal, patients and families feel heard, comforted and consoled through the warm-heartedness, compassion and solidarity in their time of need.
This webinar will introduce the field of clinical pastoral care and illustrate how patients and family members have benefited from the support of the team at Mt Alvernia Hospital and Assisi hospice.
