Dr Tan Jin Rong is a Consultant Radiologist at SGH and a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists. He graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and completed his radiology residency with SingHealth, serving as Chief Resident in his final year.

Dr Tan regularly performs a wide range of image-guided interventions, including biopsies, steroid injections, bone stabilisation, and tumour ablation.

He currently serves as Deputy Director of Imaging Informatics in the Division of Radiological Sciences, leading initiatives in AI deployment and exploring the integration of large language models into radiology workflows.

His research focuses on the intersection of machine learning and musculoskeletal imaging, particularly in enhancing diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency. He has contributed to the development of AI models for fracture detection and hardware-related complications and has received multiple research grants, including the International Skeletal Society Early Career Grant in 2024.

Dr Tan’s clinical and academic interests include AI in imaging and image-guided interventions.
