About Doctor

Dr Tan Ying Ching is a Consultant with the Department of Breast Surgery, Singapore General Hospital, and the Division of Surgical Oncology, National Cancer Centre Singapore. She graduated with an MBBS (Merit) in 2015 and completed her surgical training in Singapore, serving as Chief Resident, General Surgery, in 2022. She was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2023.

Dr Tan is a breast surgeon committed to improving outcomes and quality of life for women with breast cancer. She provides patient-centred care grounded in empathy and evidence-based practice and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patients through diagnosis, treatment and recovery. In addition, as Research Director in the Department of Breast Surgery and a Core Faculty Member of the SingHealth General Surgical Training Residency, she leads and supports research initiatives and is actively involved in training the next generation of surgeons.
