About Doctor

Dr Lim Kim Wei is a gastroenterologist with expertise in advanced therapeutic endoscopy, including Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and endoscopic resection techniques such as EMR and eFTR. He specialises in the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of complex pancreaticobiliary and gastrointestinal conditions, including bile duct stones, strictures, pancreatic diseases, and early gastrointestinal cancers.

With a strong focus on precision and patient-centred care, Dr Lim utilises advanced endoscopic techniques to provide effective, minimally invasive treatment options that may help patients avoid major surgery. He is particularly interested in the early detection and endoscopic treatment of gastrointestinal neoplasia.

Dr Lim is actively involved in advancing endoscopic practice through teaching, training, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and sustainable healthcare delivery. He continues to develop innovative endoscopic approaches and research in order to improve outcomes for patients with complex gastrointestinal and pancreaticobiliary diseases.

Dr Lim Kim Wei’s research interests focus on advancing therapeutic endoscopy and improving outcomes in pancreaticobiliary and gastrointestinal diseases. His work is particularly centred on interventional endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), ERCP techniques, and endoscopic resection for early gastrointestinal neoplasia. He is interested in developing and evaluating innovative endoscopic approaches that enable minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of complex gastrointestinal conditions.

Dr Lim is also involved in research related to endoscopy quality improvement, patient safety, and sustainable endoscopic practice. Through clinical research and collaboration, he aims to translate advances in endoscopic technology into safer procedures and better outcomes for patients.
