About Doctor

Dr Chen Kaina is an accredited specialist in the field of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. She obtained her specialist accreditation in Gastroenterology and holds a Master of Clinical Investigation from the National University of Singapore.
She manages a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions including disorders of the oesophagus, stomach, and intestines, and has a clinical interest in hepatology, including liver cirrhosis, viral hepatitis, metabolic liver disease, portal hypertension and liver cancer as part of the multi-disciplinary management.

Dr Chen is actively engaged in clinical and translational research, with a focus on liver cancer and early detection in Asian populations. She has received competitive research funding, including SingHealth Pitch-for-Fund and National Medical Research Council (NMRC) seed grants.
She is a regular speaker at local and international conferences and is actively involved in medical education. She holds an academic appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School.
