About

Dr Aw Junjie is a Family Medicine Consultant at Singapore General Hospital’s FMCC, with experience supporting various service and quality initiatives across SingHealth Community Hospitals. He has taken on roles such as Chief Data and Digital Officer, Chief Risk Officer and committee leads, where he contributed to improving patient safety, building ERM awareness, digital adoption and care coordination.

Clinically, he focuses on strengthening transitional and community care, with an interest in models that support early subacute care in the community and reduce unnecessary hospital stays. He is also committed to developing point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) capabilities within Family Medicine and supporting its safe, practical use in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

As an educator, Dr Aw is a Clinical Assistant Professor with Duke-NUS and actively teaches in undergraduate, residency and fellowship programmes. He is involved in clinical teaching, examinations, mentorship and curriculum activities with the College of Family Physicians Singapore.

His research interests include frailty, sarcopenia, behavioural medicine, stroke rehabilitation and POCUS as an adjuct to FM practice. He hopes to continue contributing to Family Medicine through patient-centred clinical practice, collaborative education, and community-based care development.
