Clin Asst Prof Raymond Tan Kim Leong

Dr Raymond Tan is a Senior Consultant Radiologist at SGH and has had the honour and privilege of serving in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at SGH for 40 years. A pioneer in his field, Dr Tan was among the first cohort to undergo Advanced Specialty Training in Radiology, organised by the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

He witnessed and was part of the transformation of Diagnostic Radiology in Singapore. The 1990s marked a period of rapid technological advancement, with the introduction of the Multidetector Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging/Angiography and Digital Subtraction of Angiography. The first RIS-PACS system was also introduced during this time.

Throughout the years, Dr Tan has contributed greatly to the education of many younger radiologists, all of whom have benefited from his experience and knowledge.
