Please bring along the original request form and any previous X-rays, CT, MRI or Ultrasound images performed in any private clinic/outside institutions that you may have.
Please arrive 20 minutes before your appointment time for registration. If you are late, your appointment may be rescheduled to another day/time.
Photography and video recording of the radiological examination is not allowed in the examination room.
A fluoroscopy examination uses a type X-ray called fluoroscopic imaging to view images of the body in real-time.
X-rays use ionising radiation to obtain images of various parts of the body.
A CT (Computed Tomography) Scan is an x-ray procedure performed using a computerised x-ray scanner to obtain cross-sectional images of the body.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a versatile medical diagnostic technique used to create detailed images of the body using a magnetic field and radio waves.
Ultrasound is a non-ionising imaging method that uses sound waves to produce images of structures within the body.
Breast imaging utilizes modalities that involve ionising radiation (such as mammography) and non-ionising methods (including ultrasound and MRI).
SGH Radiology works with other SingHealth institutions as well as selected outsourced partners to make available more MRI slots for our patients. This means a shorter waiting time for your MRI appointment.

Your MRI will be reviewed by an SGH radiologist, and your scans and reports will be available to your doctor during your follow up clinic appointment.

Please consult your clinician before you do so. Apart from the private imaging centres that we specifically collaborate with, we do not have an overview of how the imaging is performed and cannot ensure their image quality.
