The Neuropsychology of Neurological Conditions

This course will explore the basic concepts of neuropsychology as well as the nature and features of Parkinson disease, epilepsy and head trauma. These concepts include different cognitive domains, and dimensions of behaviour and function. In this course, they will be related to the neurological disorders in terms of evaluation and assessment. The different dimensions assessed include, namely, the physical, the functional, the emotional, the behavioural and the cognitive aspects. An understanding of these conditions will enable healthcare workers to apply more appropriate treatment strategies.
