Parkinson disease (PD) is a progressive neurological condition affecting motor, non-motor, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning. Effective management requires a coordinated multidisciplinary approach, with allied health professionals (AHPs) collaborating alongside medical, nursing, patients, and caregivers to deliver person-centred care. This course equips early career AHPs with foundational knowledge and practical skills to understand PD, recognise the complementary roles of different disciplines, and apply collaborative strategies that support meaningful participation and quality of life for persons with Parkinson disease. Core emphases include interprofessional perspectives, clinical reasoning, and integrated care across settings.
